I have never tried using 120 film in this. I have read that for some cameras, you have to unravel the film from the 120 spool and re-roll it onto the 620 spool, but for other 620 cameras, the 120 spool will work as it is. I don’t know which category this camera falls into.
As far as cleaning your camera, if it’s just a dirty lens you’re talking about, you might try a small amount of lens cleaning fluid on a cloth or Q-tip, or a pre-treated lens cleaning cloth, although some people actually like the effect that a dirty lens has on their pictures.
I’ve got one, John, with quite a bit more time it than yours. In other words, yours looks like a real clean camera!. I put 35 mm film in mine, and take wack-o panoramas.
I just picked this camera up at a flea market for $8….I was hoping I had made a good find However, I would have been content to just have it as a wonderful collectible! Thanks for the great photo!
I’ve shot 120 in mine. My camera looks just like this one, too, just less pristine. But I don’t recall if I respooled onto the 620 reels or not. I think I probably did. I do it all the time — just do it!
Well, don’t be scared of respooling. However, I must admit, the photos were pretty uninteresting and I haven’t shot with the camera again. So while I’m an advocate of using 620-cameras, I wouldn’t necessarily vouch for this model.

I have this camera without flash. How should I clean it? I’ve read some people use 120 film in these, have you ever tried it?

what year did this come out?

@SkyShaper:
It was introduced in December of 1940.
Good shot of an interesting camera. Can’t say I’ve ever seen one before. Thanks!

Oh I have to try that!
This looks very similar to my 620 bulls eye. In fact the wind knob is the same.

So you’re saying I should do it? ;o)

Anyone know what the effective f# and shutter speed of the Kodak Six-20 is? Thanks!
