How to make brownies that aren’t hard around the edges of the pan?

I’m a beginner with cooking, and I’ve been making brownies in a 9×13 glass pan with brownie mix. They come out nicely but the edges are always hard, I know my mom’s are that way too. Does anyone have tips on how to make them so they aren’t AS hard along the edges of the pan?

Also, can I use PAM cooking spray to make them come out of the pan easier?
